As a result of the last state budget, Wisconsin’s
public school districts have had to accelerate
cuts in programs and services and continue to increase property
taxes just to maintain what WAES and others have described
as an inadequately funded system.
WAES has proposed to meet that crisis, head-on, through a
one-cent increase in the sales tax. In a “Newsmaker”
