Greenfield draws attention to
school-funding dilemma
The newest member of WAES —-the School District of
Greenfield—isn’t shy about telling its story.
School board members, staff, parents, students, community
members, and Superintendent Conrad Farner will discuss school-funding
reform whenever and wherever possible and with whomever wants
to listen.
Most recently, Greenfield was the subject of an article by
veteran education reporter Alan Borsuk in the Milwaukee
Journal Sentinel. Farner lays out the problems, including
a list of 122 positions or services that have been eliminated
or reduced since 2002-03, leading Borsuk to ask if it isn’t
time to take a realistic look at the cost of quality education.
